Taking over from the 'somewhat irreplaceable' Roisin Cross following on from her retirement in 2007 was an intensely exciting but hugely challenging task. Most of you will remember Roisin who was Ireland's largest supplier of silks for the previous 28 years, many of which were award winning, earning her a reputation of sheer excellence.
This reputation of excellence has however continued throughout the transfer period and even now as I approach my fourth year of business, loyal customers continue to recall fond memories of 'Clonskeagh' where Roisin started this unique business in a room in her beautiful home all those years ago.
This loyal customer base and the new customer base naturally provides guidance for future trends and styles ensuring that Roisin Cross Silks continues to offer a collection of magnificent silks to suit all individual needs and tastes.
The 'new look' Roisin Cross Silks is also endeavouring to continue to bring this beauty into the home for 2010 with our new range of traditional and contemporary silks suitable for soft furnishings and a curtain making service is now on offer for this reason. It is with great pleasure that Roisin Cross Silks announce that our curtain and dress making courses, launched in July 2009, continue to attract significant numbers. We are also delighted to advise that the most recent development in our training portfolio is a dress making course for transition year students which we launched in November 2009.
Our new and exciting programme of curtain and dress making courses for adults and students at all levels will re-commence in January 2010. |
